Prof. UCC dr inż. Damian Kasperczyk from Ekoinwentyka Sp. z o.o. and dr hab. prof. UŚ Violetta Kozik from Institute of Chemistry, WNSiT University of Silesia in Katowice
together with the President of the City of Ruda Śląska, the University of Silesia, PTChem, Enterprise Europe Network – GAPR Gliwice, GIG, has the honor to invite you to participate in the “8th International Conference – Bioreactors in the fight for clean air – Innovations in the service of air protection – in the aspect of energy transformation”.
The conference is addressed to: companies, representatives of local government, scientists and scientific institutions, industry and administration representatives, green technology companies, international partners, authorities at national and regional level, colleage students, that are interested in the latest results of research and development works in the field of implementing innovations concerning environmental protection, including bio purification of air from volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and odors (NH3, H2S, mercaptans, etc.) and methane.
The conference topics will include the generation and storage of green energy, construction of renewable energy source installations, increasing energy efficiency and supporting solutions in the field of preventing or reducing emissions of pollutants related to energy production.
The conference will also present the results of the project concerning the purification of ventilation air from methane in the mining site using the innovative technology of KBT Bioreactors. In addition, the current steps of preparing the R&D project concerning the production and storage of green energy in the form of hydrogen and its use for heating purposes will be presented.
The program foresees to present the results of the efficiency of the KBT installation for selected industries (sewage treatment plants, automotive, PKN Orlen S.A., paint industry, Grupa Azoty Kopalnie i Zakłady Chemiczne Siarki Siarkopol S.A., KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., coal mines, etc.) and the latest innovative technologies in the field of air and water protection (details in the conference agenda).
The KBT bioreactor will be presented in a pilot form during the conference.

An additional highlight of the event will be the presentation of interdisciplinary research by young scientists in the form of eco-posters, as well as B2B meetings and also enviromental protection technologies as part of the GREENEVO project from national Ministry of Climate and Enviroment
