            Prof. UCC dr inż. Damian Kasperczyk from Ekoinwentyka Sp. z o.o. and dr hab. prof. UŚ Violetta Kozik  from Institute of Chemistry, WNSiT University of Silesia in Katowice

together with the President of the City of Ruda Śląska, the University of Silesia, PTChem, EEN, GIG, has the honor to invite you to participate in the “8th International Conference – Bioreactors in the fight for clean air – Innovations in the service of air protection – in the aspect of energy transformation”.

            The conference is addressed to: companies, representatives of local government, scientists and scientific institutions, industry and administration representatives, green technology companies, international partners, authorities at national and regional level, colleage students, that are interested in the latest results of research and development works in the field of implementing innovations concerning environmental protection, including bio purification of air from volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and odors (NH3, H2S, mercaptans, etc.) and methane.

            The conference topics will include the generation and storage of green energy, construction of renewable

energy source installations, increasing energy efficiency and supporting solutions in the field of preventing or reducing emissions of pollutants related to energy production.

            The conference will also present the results of the project concerning the purification of ventilation air from methane in the mining site using the innovative technology of KBT Bioreactors. In addition, the current steps of preparing the R&D project concerning the production and storage of green energy in the form of hydrogen and its use for heating purposes will be presented.

            The program foresees to present the results of the efficiency of the KBT installation for selected industries (sewage treatment plants, automotive, PKN Orlen S.A., paint industry, Grupa Azoty Kopalnie i Zakłady Chemiczne Siarki Siarkopol S.A., KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., coal mines, etc.) and the latest innovative technologies in the field of air and water protection (details in the conference agenda).

            The KBT bioreactor will be presented in a pilot form during the conference.

            An additional highlight of the event will be the presentation of interdisciplinary research by young scientists in the form of eco-posters, as well as B2B meetings and also enviromental protection technologies as part of the GREENEVO project from national Ministry of Climate and Enviroment

Under the auspices of GreenEvo Akcelerator Zielonych Technologii, we established valuable international relationships, including with the wonderful students of Kakegawa City Nishi Junior High School, represented by Mr. Nobuaki Oishi, Mr. Miyazaki, and Mr. Roy Hill. Meeting the students from Kakegawa West Junior High School resulted 22.01.2026 in our first joint seminar, during which Ekoinwentyka introduced the topics from the area of innovative air purification technologies, as well as workshops on Polish–Japanese cultural differences, helping us better understand our respective approaches to education, technology, culture, and collaboration.

The event also had a unique artistic dimension

At the invitation of the organizers, the Państwowa Ogólnokształcąca Szkoła Muzyczna I st. im. Moniuszki Katowice (Stanisław Moniuszko State Primary Music School in Katowice) took part, represented by Director Bernadeta Stańczyk, Deputy Director Dorota Dworaźny, and Ms. Agnieszka Śmieja.

Students from the Japanese side: Honoka, Kana, and Konan — and from the Polish side: Weronika Kasperczyk, Klara Mazur, and Laura Łubianka —presented their schools. The event concluded with a mini concert by Weronika Kasperczyk, coached by Mr. Robert Czmok, who performed “Petite Suite,” Part I.

We believe this was the first of many important steps toward real technology transfer, the exchange of knowledge, culture, and experience, and long-term scientific and innovative cooperation between Poland and Japan.

On Friday, January 16, the “Smart Komunal: Digitization for the environment” conference was held at the Mediateka in Tychy, organized by the Ministerstwo Klimatu i Środowiska and Ministerstwo Cyfryzacji.

The event gathered experts, local government officials and innovation leaders to talk about how digitalization and modern technologies support environmental protection and municipal services.

We are proud to announce that Prof. v. UCC dr inż. Damian Kasperczyk took part in the conference, presenting innovative solutions in the field of air protection as part of the GreenEvo Akcelerator Zielonych Technologii.

This is another step towards green technologies that support cleaner cities and a better quality of life.

On January 13, we had the pleasure of conducting a training for students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences,Uniwersytet Śląski w Katowicach as part of cooperation with the Career Office.

As Ekoinwentyka Sp. z o.o. we combined the theoretical and practical part – students not only learned the principles of operation of PID/FID meters for the detection of volatile organic compounds, viewed our microorganisms under a microscope and became acquainted with the realities of work in the industrial sector in which we conduct research, but also had the opportunity to learn more about air protection technologies. We presented, among others: innovative technology for air biopurification from VOCs, methane and odor in our KBT bioreactors. During the meeting, we also discussed the mechanisms of operation of our bioreactors and the specifics of everyday work in the company. Thank you for the invitation and great interest from students!
