September 20, 2012 The company’s President of the Management Board, Damian Kasperczyk, was a guest at the expert conference “Demethanation and underground gasification of hard coal – a way to improve Poland’s energy security” organized by the Institute of Strategic Studies Foundation and Katowicki Holding Węglowy S.A.
The conference was attended by a wide group of experts who shared their knowledge with conference participants, explaining the topics, among others: methods of processing hard coal in the deposit and the latest technologies used in this area, methane resources in hard coal seams in Poland, as well as the possibilities of achieving an increase in the utilization of methane released in the process of coal exploitation.
Thanks to the discussion that ended each of the three blocks into which the conference was divided, specialists from various fields could exchange their experiences and concepts related to the main topic of the meeting.
